What does Cazimera do?

It syncs the calendar you already keep, figures out what kind of task each event is, and rates every one from 0 to 100 for how well the current conditions support that kind of task, measured against your individual birth chart. Then it will find you a better time to reschedule to, if you want one.

Is Cazimera an electional astrology app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Electional astrology is choosing the time for a thing by the astrology, and it has usually needed an expert to read the chart. Cazimera does that reading for the events already on your calendar: every one gets a rating from 0 to 100 against your birth chart, and Plan finds the better windows in a date range. The whole method is on the Method page.

Which calendars does it work with?

Accepted Answer

Any account already on your iPhone: iCloud, Google, Exchange, Outlook, and the rest, through the iOS Calendar permission. Cazimera reads them in place and writes only what you ask it to: an event you compose, a window you book from Plan, or a move to a better time.

Question 4

Do I need to know anything about astrology?

Accepted Answer

No. We give everything in plain language and clock times: “Mars is separating from your Moon by 9:00pm.” Degrees, orbs, and houses are there behind a Show chart data button on every event and score sheet, closed by default. Nothing requires you to learn the ins and outs of astrology.

What does “cazimi” mean?

A cazimi is when a planet is at the same spot, relative to Earth, as the Sun. It’s brief, rare, and traditionally the strongest a planet gets.

Why won’t it tell me a day is good or bad?

Accepted Answer

Because astrology doesn’t know that. Astrology describes the conditions around an effort, and the part of the cycle we’re in, not exact events that will happen or the result of an action. Our vocabulary stops at the five-tier scale, from Challenging to Ideal, and Demanding means doable but maybe requiring more effort, not doomed.

Is there a daily horoscope?

No, and there won’t be. No feed, no scroll, no notifications you didn’t ask for. Cazimera is a calendar that knows the astrology, not a horoscope or fortune teller.

Does it draw tarot cards for me?

Accepted Answer

No. Cazimera does not do Tarot readings. Card Pull is a log for draws you make with your own physical deck, stamped with the astrology when you logged it.

Does astrology work?

Accepted Answer

There is no fully accepted physical mechanism, and we’re not going to claim one. What Cazimera claims is that it applies a consistent, traditional, fully visible astrological reading to your calendar, the same way every time, and shows you its math. Whether that’s useful to you is yours to judge, which is why the free tier is a real app and not a teaser.

Which system do you use?

Tropical zodiac, whole sign houses by default (Placidus is a setting), Ptolemaic aspects with orb-weighted contributions. Traditional rulerships drive the category weights; modern planets are included but weighted lower.

Which house system does Cazimera use?

Accepted Answer

Whole sign by default, with Placidus as a setting in Profile, under Preferences. Whichever you pick, the houses on your chart screen are the houses the rating engine uses. Whole sign is the oldest system in the tradition our rulerships come from and works at every latitude. Placidus divides the houses by time, so they come in different sizes and one house can hold parts of two signs; the app names both. Placidus isn’t defined inside the polar circles, so a chart born there stays whole sign and says so.

What ephemeris?

A precomputed dataset built with the Swiss Ephemeris: the same high-precision planetary data professional astrologers use, derived from NASA JPL data. It fuels every computation done on your device, and nothing is estimated, generic, or fetched from a server. The almanac page comes from that same dataset; the scores on this site’s other figures run on a sample chart and are labeled as such.

Can I see the weighting table?

Yes. The houses and planets behind every category are on the Method page, straight from the app’s routing table, along with the four numbers that turn a day’s balance into a word, and the parts we think are still wrong. If you practice professionally and want to argue with it, that’s a conversation we want to have.

Do you use my rising sign?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when you know your birth time. Houses depend on it, and houses are what tie a topic to a part of your chart. Without a time the app reads a noon chart, says so plainly, and leaves houses and the Ascendant out rather than guessing.

Why sixteen categories rather than twelve?

Accepted Answer

They map to house significations rather than to signs, and several houses include more than one everyday topic: the 5th covers children, creative work, and love; the 4th covers family and the home itself; the 3rd and 9th split communication from education. Collapsing those made the ratings noticeably less useful, so there are sixteen, and you can switch off any you don’t want.

Where does my birth data go?

Onto your phone, and nowhere else. Chart computation is local, so there is no server that needs it. There is no account to create, no chart-sharing feature, and nothing for us to hand over if someone asks.

What about my calendar events?

Accepted Answer

Read through iOS’s own calendar permission, held on the device, and written back only when you ask the app to create or move something. Event titles are never sent to us. The ratings stay in Cazimera and are never written into your calendar.

Do you use analytics?

Accepted Answer

Anonymous counts of which features get used: feature names, toggles, and numbers, never content, and never linked to you. No advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers, no data sale, on either tier. The website works the same way: our host counts page views without cookies, and nothing there is tied to you either. The privacy policy explains it all in detail.

How do I delete everything?

Deleting an entry deletes it, and deleting the app deletes everything the app stored (intentions, journal entries, card pulls); there is no cloud copy. Your calendar events stay, because they belong to your device’s calendar, not to Cazimera. Your regular device backup is what protects your data; there’s nothing for us to recover if it goes.

The calendar, the ambient astrology layer, and today’s full personal details are free permanently. Plus is $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year after a 14-day free trial, and adds scores on every single day, event detail beyond today, Better Windows every day, unlimited Plan searches, and the specialist layers. Is there an Android version?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. It’s a very small operation, and iOS-specific behavior (widgets, the lock screen, calendar permissions, sheet detents) is a large part of what makes the app feel right. Android is on the list, without a date.

Question 22

iPad? Mac? Apple Watch?

Accepted Answer

iPhone only for now. The field needs more room than a phone gives it, and iPad is the most likely next step. A watch complication for the current scale word is an obvious idea we haven’t built.

Question 23

Does it work offline?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The astrology is computed locally, so ratings work on a plane. Calendar sync needs a connection, and Plan is disabled offline with the reason shown rather than blanking out and looking broken.
